Welcome to rosacea.ie. My name is Finola Fegan and I have also rosacea. I have been there, tried everything, developed the finca (type 1) rosacea serum for myself and now I am in control of my skin. I would like to share everything I learned along the way with you, so that you can find what works for you too. You are among friends here and you will find the support, encouragement and advice to bring your own rosacea under control.
The finca story
I decided to create the first finca serum and this 'rosacea.ie' website after years of difficulty with my own skin. In my twenties, I noticed that my skin always felt tight and irritated. By the time I reached my thirties I had a noticeably red nose, red chin and redness spreading across my cheeks. My doctor diagnosed me with rosacea.
I knew my skincare regime had to be non irritable, but I couldn’t find anything mild enough that didn’t cause irritation. At that stage I had tried everything from five euro to fifty euro. I wasn’t looking for a miracle, just skincare that didn’t make it worse!
I began researching the products I was using, to see if there were common ingredients triggering my rosacea. I discovered that:
- Many chemicals used in skin care products can irritate the skin and cause sensitivity.
- Cosmetics companies use these chemicals simply because they are cheap and extend product shelf life.
With this in mind I created the finca ( type 1) serum. A plant based, clean formulated product which was specifically designed for people like you and me. The organic Rosehip ingredient also has the dual benefit of anti ageing properties.
People with rosacea prone skin should keep the number of ingredients in their skincare to an absolute minimum. If an ingredient has dual benefits eg. anti-inflammatory & anti-ageing, then that is one that we love here at finca.
My goal is to create the cleanest plant-based skin care range on the market, and I would love for you to be part of that journey.
Rosacea websites and forums are a great way to connect with other sufferers. You are not alone by any means. Please don't hesititate to get in contact if you or would like to talk about any aspect of rosacea or finca skin organics.
This photo was taken a few years ago, before I began developing the finca (type 1) serum. My face always felt uncomfortable and tight. There was noticeable redness around my nose and chin, and to a lesser extent on my cheeks.
Later, when i met a willing volunteer, i began to develop the type 2 serum. Through research on type 2 rosacea and repeated trial and testing, i now have a serum for those rosacea sufferers who, unlike me, have type 2 rosacea. Have a look at our product page for more information on this particular product.
